The VORAN Basket Presses are ideal for high yield extraction of a variety
of ingredients. Basket Presses were originally used for apple and grape juice extraction in the juice and wine industries but can be used for other ingredients as well. Before the extraction happens, raw material needs to be shredded with the help of a shredder such as the VORAN BG2. After the shredding process, the mash is placed in the basket which is lined with a filter bag. Dividers are placed between various layers of mash to increase the hydraulic pressure application and therefore increasing the yield. Basket Presses are ideal for the juice, wine, and other juice extraction industries. Basket Presses produce batches and are not continuous extraction presses and are not suitable for citrus and stone fruit, but for most other fruit and vegetables.
